Read Where the Wild Things Are by Maruice Sendak.
Now set your wild imagination free by building creatures with easy-to-make clay using four simple ingredients: baking soda, cornstarch, water, and food coloring. If you really want to get fancy, gather some googly eyes, feathers, craft sticks and pom poms! Here’s all you need to do:
What you’ll need:
2 cups baking soda
1 cup cornstarch
1 ¼ cups water
food coloring
googly eyes, feathers, craft sticks, pom poms (optional)
How to make it:
Pour the baking soda, cornstarch, and water into a pot.
Cook it over medium heat, stirring it until it looks like mashed potatoes.
Let it cool and divide it into about 4 pieces.
Add a different color of food coloring to each piece and knead each one until it is smooth.
Use your imagination and turn your clay into amazing creatures! Add the wiggle eyes and other decorations to make your creature look even wilder!
Leave your creation in a sunny place to dry.
